We are currently all very busy at school taking lots of pictures with emphasis on colour. Assignments have been: Triplets of colours, complementary colours, primary colours, earthtones and white. For the white shoot, I had a very clear idea of what I wanted… I wanted it to uhm… be white… I didn’t want too much emotions in the images, and if I did have any they needed to be melancholic. For the shoot I booked Kristin Folstad, one of the models that Bjørn Christiansen and myself found whilst scouting Torget back in the beginning of the school year . I have previously taken pictures of her twin sister, Marie Folstad (Classic Portraiture, Flash on Location), whilst Bjørn has had a few shoots with Kristin (Classic Portraiture and Fashion). Both Kristin and Marie are now part of Trend Models.
I also booked make-up artist and stylist d’extraordinaire (supposed to be said with a lot of enthusiasm and a french twang), Tina Larsen, who has been a tremendous help all year. Her skills add a whole extra dimension to my images, so a big thanks goes out to her. She even has her own Fan Following on Facebook (started by Bjørn Christiansen and myself).
I am very pleased with the results from the shoot, and hopefully the teacher agrees with me when I get him to look over them tomorrow.
