Architecture – NTNU Gløs

The last couple of weeks we have been working with Large Format cameras at school (Sinar). We got 3 assignments, 2 technical ones to get to know the camera and 1 for the more esthetic part. First was to photograph an oversized “toilet roll”. The second was to take 3 different images of random buildings, just to show that we could get our lines straight. Last one was a bit more interesting, where we had to photograph the “Realfag”-building (the sciences/mathematics), 2 exterior photos and 2 interior photos. Went up with Madeleine Nilsson for the two interior shots (well I took a couple outside shots as well, but one didnt turn out that great so went up to take it again with Julius H. Backstrøm, and decided to just take a couple extra… and got better results for both)

Here is what I ended up with:

I’ve decided, maybe through indirect peer-pressure, to start blogging again. Hopefully I will be able to keep with it this time.

Anyways, I’ve now been attending photography school (Norsk Fotofagskole) in Trondheim, Norway for about 3 weeks, and loving it. The University of Edinburgh can go suck it, hehe. I figured I would try to share some of my experiences from my time up here, and some of the work that I will be creating, might also do some smaller reviews of photography related books etc.

Here is a photo of Jonas that was for a recent project. Seeing as its a whole 3 days till the elections in Norway, we were given the task to produce a photo that a political party could use in their “propaganda” to illustrate one of 5 popular issues. I went for Climate Change and Environment. The general feel had to be positive and optimistic, so I went for simple, clean and relaxed (worry-free).

Thanks to Jonas who was my model for the shoot, a more positive personality is hard to come across!
