Having been fairly busy with school and socializing lately, my hunt for an assistant job for over the summer holidays has been fairly slow recently. I am hoping to get a short placement with an advertisement or fashion photographer so that I can keep developing over the 2 months we have off (if I don’t get it, I will obviously still try to do so myself…)

What I hope to achieve from this placement is not only develop the photography itself, things such as lighting, posing, post-production etc etc… but also the more administrative tasks at hand, from pre-production planning, logistics and a bit more about the financial side of things.

I got my arse into gear again last night and sent out application, got a very swift reply from Tom Haga, who said he liked my work, but already has an assistant :( Oh well, I went into this knowing that most photographers I will be applying to most likely already have assistants, or don’t need them.

Since I don’t have any new images to upload with this post, I have decided to add one I took a short while back for the Product Photography course. (I admit, not the worlds most exciting pictures, but who doesn’t love coffee!)

Speaking of… I’m gonna go put some on before I head to the shop.
